Get real with rit. (grrit.) is a multifaceted literacy activism initiative. Erin Carroll is a leader in her field; fiercely devoted to achieving literacy equity globally.

grrit.y kids is a podcast steeped in the principles of Responsive Integrated Teaching™. We believe that deep learning cannot occur until children feel seen, understood, valued, and capable. The podcast is a way for children to access literature that engages them in acceptance; both of others and of themselves.

 

In collaboration with radical children's authors and illustrators, Erin brings her clinical expertise to the reading process as children are guided to think critically, practice visualization, and develop empathy.
